tonight after dinner, my parents said a chinese saying that made me real sad (paraphrased):

no matter how fun the party is, you always have to say goodbye.

after my mom said that, it caused me to look hard into my parents’ eyes and face the bitter reality of one day of them not being with us. it made me want to record everything about my parents and family whether through video/audio/images–anything to preserve memories that are so quickly lost.

it’s a reality, i know–this thing called life–but it’s a sad reality. sometimes i don’t want to face it.
